Jessica Dubé is a retired Canadian figure skater who continued to skate and compete after a serious injury. In 2007, at the Four Continents Championships, Dubé's partner accidentally struck her in the face with his skate blade during a lift, which resulted in a severe cut that required surgery and 80 stitches.
Dubé was able to make a full recovery and continued to compete. She and her partner, Bryce Davison, went on to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where they placed 6th. After the Olympics, Dubé and Davison retired from competition.
Since retiring from skating, Dubé has pursued a career in fashion and modeling and has worked as a tv presenter and commentator for skating events. She has also become an ambassador for skate Canada and continues to inspire young athletes.
